Vielen Dank für Ihre ergänzenden Angaben, Herr Padberg Evenboer! Also haben diese „Anhänger“ in der Tat nichts mit den an Wappenhelmen befindlichen Medaillons gemein.
Im vorliegenden Fall könnte es sich tatsächlich um das w ü r t t e m b e r g i s c h e Wappen handeln, findet man doch auch auf dieser englischen Seite http://www.heraldsnet.org/saitou/parker ... d.htm#Deer
den Hinweis "Le Counte de WARTEMBERG (Anm.: doch wohl Württemberg), BARNARD, Hants, d'or a iij (Anm.: = 3) perches de deym de sable. – Harl. MS. 6589.“
Im übrigen führen in Schottland die BOYLE (früher BOYVILLE genannt), Grafen von Glasgow, in Gold drei - allerdings rote und pfahlweise gestellte –Geweihstangen.

und warum !
...nur muessten wir herausfinden,
wo man ein echtes Halskleinod findet,
was ist eigentlich der aelteste Nachweis dass es existierte,
auch waere interessant wass man zur eigentlichen Wappenschau verwendete

Es gibt in dieser Gruppe auch einige normale, heraldische Hänger. Die hat es natürlich auch immer gegeben. Es hängt vor allem auch vom Material ab und der Größe welches das Gebrauch bestimmen.
